David Robinson, CPGA
Director of Golf
David Robinson, our Director of Golf, comes to us with extensive experience in the golf industry. A graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Grant MacEwen, David has been involved in the golf business since 1994. Originally from Scotland, David was raised in the Edmonton area and began playing at the age of 10. David has worked at public, semi-private and private golf facilities and brings a wealth of experience in all areas of a golf operation. He spent the first 4 seasons of his career at Fort in View Golf Club in Edmonton. In the spring of 1998, he moved to Calgary to assume the position of Assistant Professional at Priddis Greens Golf Club. In 2000, David wrote his CPGA Class A exam and moved on to become the Associate Professional at Lakeside Greens in Chestermere, advancing to the position of Head Professional in 2003. In 2007, David moved to Crystal Ridge to assume the role of Head Professional and Clubhouse Manager. In November of 2009, David joined the team at Lynx Ridge as Director of Golf Operations. David and his wife Amber currently reside in Okotoks with their son Max.

Tim Sawatzky, CPGA
Head Golf Professional
Tim comes to Lynx Ridge with 16 years of experience in the golf business. For 5 years he was the Head Golf Professional at the Sirocco Golf Club in south Calgary. Prior to that Tim apprenticed at the prestigious Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club and the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club. Tim loves all facets of the game and business of golf. He enjoys teaching the game to all players along with going out onto the golf course and playing. Tim has managed to win 3 Alberta PGA events and even made it to the final stage of qualifying for the Canadian Open. His dedication to customer service is second to none and is well respected amongst his peers in the golf business.

Mike Zaleschuk, CPGA
Assistant Golf Professional
Mike Zaleschuk was born and raised in Saskatoon. Mike comes to Lynx Ridge Golf Club after working for 11 years at the Redwood Meadows Golf and Country Club. He has been in the golf business for 14 years. Mike received his education at the Professional Golfers Career College in Murietta California and at Grant McEwan Community College in Edmonton. Along with being a well respected Professional amongst his piers, Mike has worked with junior golfers for 12 years and looks forward to bringing his experience to the junior program at Lynx Ridge.

Nathan Pruden, CPGA
Assistant Golf Professional
Nathan comes to Lynx Ridge this year with 5 years of experience. Last season Nathan was at Silver Springs Country Club, and before that he spent 4 years out at Douglasdale Golf Course. Even during high school Nathan was working in the backshop’s of the Country Club of the Hamptons, and Country Hills Golf Club and has developed fantastic customer service skills through his experiences. Even though Nathan has completed and received his business diploma and professional certificate from Grant MacEwan College, he is still attending school at the University of Calgary to pursue a degree from Haskayne’s School of Business. Nathan loves to play golf and enjoys helping others get better at golf. His goal in life is to play in the Canadian Open.

Tommy Townsend, CPGA
Assistant Golf Professional
My name is Tommy Townsend, I am 26 years old, born and raised in Calgary Alberta. I have been in the golf industry for 10 years, been a Professional for 4 of those years. I graduated from the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula California in 2006 with honors and received my Associates Degree in Golf Management. I really enjoy teaching and meeting new people in a learning atmosphere. I have a strong love for the game of golf and have always enjoyed the excitement and pressure of competing. My other interests consist of watching and playing hockey, volleyball, cooking, dirt biking, camping, and hanging out with friends. I am really looking forward to the upcoming golf season at Lynx Ridge.
